Library Program Specialist (Part-Time) | City of Bandon Library

The Bandon Library is seeking a creative and community-focused Library Program Specialist to plan and lead engaging programs for youth and adults while assisting with daily library operations.

Pay: $20.00/hour
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and facilitating library programs and events
  • Leading preschool story time and literacy activities
  • Community outreach and partnership development
  • Marketing library programs
  • Assisting with library operations, circulation, and cataloging
  • Supporting the Library Director with reports and special projects

Requirements

  • A passion for libraries, literacy, education, and community engagement
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Basic computer proficiency and a willingness to learn library systems
  • A collaborative and positive approach to working with patrons, staff, and community partners
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience planning programs, activities, or events
